No. Effects only ever apply to your chat box, can’t cover your cam or gameplay, and every one expires by itself within a minute. One click in your dashboard puts everything back to normal.
Requests are filtered before anything reaches your overlay, and a rejected prompt costs you nothing. It’s a normal Channel Points reward, so you can pause it, price it high, or turn it off mid-stream from Twitch.
